Bardia is the founder and director of CAPTO. He developed a strong love for reading, writing, and music since childhood, and later graduated in English Literature. He also likes to think that he knows a thing or two about private enterprise as he used to run his own travel company for about 17 years. Bardia writes essays in both English and Farsi. Several of his translations have been published as books or magazine articles.
Saba is CAPTO's shareholder and sales director. She helps a great deal with designing our various business plans and projects. Saba is a graduate of International Law, has worked in a couple of law firms, and therefore takes care of some of the legal aspects of our business. In her spare time, she sometimes translates articles and a number of her English to Farsi translations have been featured in Excellent Organization magazine.
Professor Iain Allan is our Financial Advisor and Bank Training Co-ordinator.
A visiting professor of Actuarial Science at Cass Business School, Iain was Group Director of Strategy of Royal Bank of Scotland for 14 years, during which time he made important contributions to the establishment of a supermarket banking joint venture with Tesco, to RBS’s successful acquisition of the much larger bank NatWest and to the establishment of a strategic partnership and joint ventures with Bank of China
Ed Bachrach is our Business Advisor.
A Harvard graduate and a licensed CPA, Ed was the owner and president of Bachrach Clothing Inc. Founded in 1877 by his great grandfather, Henry, in Decatur, Illinois, Bachrach Clothing was originally a small shop, and remained a small business for three generations until Ed took over as president in 1979.
Under his leadership, Bachrach Clothing became a nationwide, mall-based retailer of men’s apparel, and grew to a peak of 82 superstores all over the United States. Ed sold his business in 2005.
Dr. Bobbi Thomason is our Management Advisor.
Ms. Thomason has PhD in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University. Her research explores (1) women's attainment of leadership and (2) how companies scale globally. Her dissertation analyzes the career paths of women executives in the Middle East and North Africa.
Prior to Stanford, Ms. Thomason worked as a Research Associate at the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School. She holds a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University and a M.A. from Columbia University. She trains and consults with clients globally on diversity, negotiation and communication. Dr. Thomason is a co-founder of WomanUp, an initiative to support and train women entrepreneurs in the MENA region.
Dr. Mohammadreza Javadian is our Banking Advisor
Dr. Javadian is the Director of Treasury & Secretary to Asset Liability Management Committee of ECO Trade & Development Bank in Istanbul, Turkey since April 2010.
He was previously Director of International Banking of Bank Parsian, and Executive Board Member & Vice Chairman of Parsian Exchange Company. Prior to that Dr. Javadian was Assistant Chief Representative, Tehran, Standard Bank London, as well as Head and chief dealer of Treasury of Bank Sepah in Tehran.
